International Gathering 2022
After a long postponement due to the worldwide covid pandemic, 2022 will see the next Clan Hunter International Gathering where we will be welcome Hunter clan member and visitors from around the globe back to their ancestral home at Hunterston.
Our international gatherings take place every 3 years with this one taking place over the first weekend of September. Beginning on Friday 4th September the festivities coincide with the famous Largs Viking Festival where our clan chief is the current patron.

Friday 4th September
Meet, greet and socialise with other Hunter kinfolk while soaking in the atmosphere and beauty of the ancestral lands of Hunterston and our clan forebearers.
Castle tours are available between 10:30am and 12:30pm, and 1:30pm and 4:30pm*.
A light lunch of sandwiches and homemade soup will be available on the day*.
You can also try your hand at Archery with the Ancient Society of Kilwinning Archers (www.kilwinningarchers.net) from midday.
In the evening we will be meeting at the Seamill Hydro, a local hotel and venue only 3 miles from Hunterston for some evening socialising.

Saturday 5th September
Saturday sees the start of the Largs Viking Festival where you can come and visit the Clan stand and enjoy the days entertainment of the festival itself. Please visit the Viking festival website for details of what’s on via the button below.
Dress smart or don your tartan highlandwear for the Clans traditional 3 course dinner in the evening*. We will also be enjoying some local music and partaking in some traditional Scottish dancing after the meal…and maybe a wee dram or two.

Sunday 6th September
Catch up with your fellow clan members and watch the Ancient Society of Kilwinning Archers compete in the field in front of Hunterston House.
Castle tours will be available between 12:00pm and 2:00pm *
We will also be enjoying the final day of the Largs Viking Festival.
